Keeping my distance but staying close to God
This Sunday
We hope to provide prayer and reflection by video from St Anne’s at 11.00 am via our church Facebook Page and YouTube. This will also be available on our website.
The Archbishops are asking us all to join in prayer, on Sunday, and if possible at 7.00 pm, with a candle lit in a window, as a sign of solidarity and hope.
You can find a daily service of Morning or Evening Prayer on the internet via the Daily Prayer App https://www.chpublishing.co.uk/apps
This will give you prayers, readings and psalms for each day; morning and evening.
For those who do not have internet, there are the following resources:
Bolton FM will be providing worship and prayer – this is available on the radio at 96.5FM. This week it will be led by the Methodists
There will be a “virtual” service on the Radio (BBC) on Sunday morning but as yet I do not have a time for this.
We will look to provide prayers and reflections as we move towards Easter. We sometimes talk about Lent being a time of spiritual journey, or of discipline but it is not usually enforced as it is being this year.
May we discover a deeper faith in and through the testing period, the uncertainty and the difficulties we all face, and may we offer in how we live, hope, peace and faith to others.
Prayers for the day
Why are you cast down O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God: for I shall again praise him, my help and my God (Psalm 42:7)
